We are at 2yrs old and Molli will still eat poo if I am not there to tell her to 'leave it'. The hardest part is the other dog's poo, I can give her pineapple, but like you I can't feed the whole neighborhood. Teach a 'leave it' command, that helps. Also maybe get a toothbrush and toothpaste- to brush the teeth if they do get into it. I hope you have better luck than I have!
