I've had to learn to say no too, but I think I'm pretty good at avoiding people in general haha. I worked in retail for a while and learned how to avoid customers on certain days.

Things I do is not to stop for every person. I just keep walking say thank you pretending I didn't notice that they may have wanted to stop and pet. If they ask to pet I might say that Draco can be a bit nippy. If they ask to hold him, I say no because he is a wiggle worm and doesn't like to be held by people that aren't me. If they want our dogs to play, I say we're running short on time, or that he's supposed to take it easy when it comes to playing, or you do actually have the excuse of him not being done with all his shots.
