Maybe if she has something to snuggle up with and something to keep her warm she will be more apt to settle down and go to sleep.

Boy, are you lucky to have someone that comes in during the day to take them out!

Hopefully, the two dogs will learn to love each other over time but it sounds like you are doing well to supervise them closely for now.
Her crate is 16Hx22Lx13W and she has a 36x26 Iris plastic ex pen. she has her warm bed in the ex pen and a blanket in her crate. I tried leaving a radio on low and that didn't make much of a difference.

I did order the puppy with heartbeat and it should be in this week. I know with time she'll get better but I see how tired she is during the day after not sleeping well all night. We tried putting her crate in our room so that she could see us and that didn't help either. I have tried covering crate and not covering crate.

I have a great neighbor and she is even going to keep them for a few days the end of the month for us to go on vacation. My hope is by then Maggie will be adjusted and not up most of the night.
