How do your fur kids tell you what they want? Adie stares at the object in question and you have to understand the signal. For example; if she wants to lay on my side when I am reclined on the couch she will just stare at the spot where she wants to be. If something is in her way she will stare at it. If she wants to play ball she will sit and either stare at one of us or at the basket that contains the balls. I could go on but you get the picture. Skeeter on the other had gives one sharp bark if he wants a treat, or wants to go outside, if it is time for bed or he wants to be picked up to join us on the couch. It is the same sharp bark but given the circumstance we pretty much know what he means. Before I could talk DH out of feeding him bites of pizza he would sit in front of DH and whine then give that sharp bark. DH eats a little frozen pizza most nights. Skeeter still tries it but it doesn't work anymore. LOL. When I groomed my sweet little Cassie she would put up with it for just so long then put her little paw on my hand. With that she was saying "Please stop now." When she started going to our groomer I told her about it and she agreed that it was her signal to stop. We would pick her up and cuddle her for a bit the start in again. (Don't forget that Cassie was a shy and sweet little girl. She would never act up or disobey. It just wasn't in her nature.)
