Most agility classes won't take a dog under a year old. It's something about their growth plates and the jumping. They don't go by weight but by age. You don't want to stress their joints before they are formed and strong. In the meantime you can start with obedience training and get them used to walking on the left and on your right on a leash, train them to focus on you and basic cannine good citizen commands. Please don't let your pups do any jumping or climbing stairs at a young age.

I was in an agility class with 2 Yorkies that were awesome on agility but they were about 3 and 4 years old. There is also something in our area called Teacup Agility for dogs under 25 pounds and the obstacles are on a smaller scale.

If you are serious about agility please look around your area for classes. There are certain correct ways to enter obstacles and you don't want to learn one way and find out it isn't correct. Good luck. We nejoyed it.
