Update: our visit went very well today. Doc was very impressed with her progress! She is eating pretty much all dry kibble now, her bark is normal. I got a dose of that little pleasure this morning at breakfast time . . lol Our vet still feels like this a anti immune issue so she wants to be kept on the Steroids for a few more weeks possibly even months. Which she will than have to be weaned off of gradually to see if any signs of the infection returns again. If so than it will have to be managed for the rest of her life.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that once she is weaned off of the steroids that all goes well. That this was a tick born infection and not the anti immune issue. Only time will tell.

We stopped for a visit with my mom and she needed to be right by my side. Literally, but that was fine with me. She got to get some extra cuddles and kisses from her grandma Janice.
