Teeth Potty Training Tip!!!

Winnie will be 11 months on the 23rd! Its so hard to believe! I have had her since 9 weeks and I honestly can not even recall what life was like without her!

Of course it has been an uphill battle with potty training. I knew going in that Yorkies were not too easy to potty train and that it would take a lot of work. It seemed like she would be on a schedule of doing great for a few weeks and then slipping right back.

I think I have found what works, and I thought I would share my experience.

Winnie is a picky pup, lets start with that. She wont go out if its raining and wont even walk on wet grass. What works? Walks.

I have started taking her on 4 walks a day. Instead of letting her out in the backyard to go to the bathroom, I walk her up and down the street. Since she has been doing this she has been accident free and tells us when she needs to go. I think its because its a treat for her. It's almost as though she is saying, do something for me and I'll do something for you.

She isn't a huge fan of being in the backyard and running around so having her out there isn't enjoyable but getting to sniff the block? Thats what she calls fun.

I just thought I would share what worked for me!
