I see quite a few breeder yorkies coming out of those puppy mills on Petfinder.
Most of them have dental issues and socialization issues at a minimum.
How do the rescues usually get the dogs out of the puppy mills? Do they go around to the puppy mills and volunteer to take whatever dogs they don't want?? Or is it exclusively from the authorities shutting puppy mills down??
It would be nice if there was more enforcement. I was watching an episode of "pitbulls and parolee's" on Animal Planet and Animal Control was out at her house listing citations at her kennels, where the dogs are actually taken care of...yet they let puppy mills get away with deplorable conditions!! It just doesn't make sense to me!!
