What kind of dog is she??? Or if she is a mix, can you tell what she might be mixed with?? Maybe a rescue would take her in.
I would definitely take her somewhere, esp if she's prego. Her puppies probably won't have a snowballs chance if you don't.
I am guessing your husband probably doesn't want to upset the neighbors, but if she's not confined to her yard, she could have ran away or easily been picked up anyways.
I guess the good news is...if they can't speak english, they can't ask if you've seen the dog
