I know Yorkies are little dynamos but Scooter is off the charts. I play with him for at least an hour a day, throwing his beloved Wubba. We can't walk that often because it's so stupid hot outside. Even in the evenings it's still suffocatingly hot. His sis, Bitsy, would rather sleep than play with him so that leaves him to work off excess energy by running laps around the pool and when he's inside running laps through the kitchen, hall and living room. Right now I just moved my chair a little and he popped right up and is staring at me with his "OK what now Mom" look. I feel badly because I think I should be doing more for him. I know an hour may not be enough but I'm pooped when I get home from work and that's all I've got to give. Any suggestions for keeping him busy and maybe channeling that energy somewhere else?
