Good afternoon YT,
I'd like to introduce you to my new yorkie, Deva (female)
Deva, that Mom and I picked at the shelder 8/5/2013. OK, an overgrown yorkie.

Sometime soon, I'm going to have a wisdom panel done on her so we know what kind of dog she is. I feel it's important to know what kind of dog we're dealing with (traits). She is the one that I told you in a earlier thread that Mom and I were thinking of co-adopting.
Atm, Deva is staying at Mom's house for a month, then mine for a month. She has met the "pack" (Mom's two and my two dogs). So far, she has passed all my expected tests. I think there are a few issues that I need to see corrected. However, I'm going to make mention of them at another time.
She came to the shelter (I can't thing of the word), from a divorce. Neither could keep her. She had been at the shelter since July 22 and we got her August 5. However, I have one question that I'd like to ask you all about at this time:
She is a VERY emotional dog. She needs to be petted ALL THE TIME and I do mean all the time. She'll go as far as hopping onto your knees and push her head under our hands just so she could be petted. This is getting to the point of becoming nuisance for us and would be for any guests I'm sure. How do we tone down this need for being petted all the time without always having to say "Down". None of our other dogs behave like this.
Thank you all for your feedback
