This thread is really bothering me and tugging on my heart strings. I pray that you informed the person you got the pup from about the Parvo. That person may have known or not but in any case if he/she was selling other pups than there can be a slew of pups out there spreading it. I can't imagine you picking up a pup and that very same day it's showing symtoms. Scary! Also, you need to let any friend or family member know about it if they came in contact with your pup or if you visited them after contact with you pup. I would also think about washing down your drive way and car tires. My heart really goes out to you for your loss and I hope I didn't sound rude or insensitive in my previous post but I would never wish this on anyone and would hate for you and a new pup to go through this all over again. Please make sure you wait for a few weeks after your new baby has had it's last set of shots before you bring it home. You also need to let the person you are buying the new pup from know about your experience with Parvo. It would not be fair to them for you to carry the virus to their dogs. Wishing you all the best!!!
