 8 week old puppy HATES her new collar.
We bought Zöe her new collar today after her vet visit and she absolutely hates it or is scared of it? I've never seen anything like it, and she certainly isn't my first puppy. When I'm holding her or she is in her little bed, she is just fine...but when she wakes up or is no longer distracted by cuddles she flips out by either whining continuously (just like she does when she needs to go outside) Or she will just sit still like a statue or sulk closely to the floor and bury herself under a blanket, etc. It isn't too tight, it isn't too heavy, it doesn't have any type of embellishments or decor on it. I guess my question is...how long does it take them to get acclimated to this foreign feeling? Prior to Zöe I've had 3 teacup chihuahuas and they never freaked out over a collar like this. |
