Hi There,
I am new to the forums as we just bought a 15 week old Yorkie/Chihuahua cross...We are having a few issues which we kinda knew we would...Our Puppy (male) starting marking our house since my Brother-in-law came over the other day and has 2 dogs of his own..There are 2 issues....One is we take him out almost every 2 hours...sometimes sooner and he always pees and poops most of the time but the last few days he squats and pees almost minutes after we bring him in from outside..And he has just peed outside too...Why is he doing this...
Second is he has began marking spots since my BIL came over...This he intentionally lifts his leg...We say NO and get abrupt with our voices and then directly take him out...
He was kennel trained(not pee pad) and had a dog run with doggie doors directly to the outside so he had free reign all day to relieve himself.....Our family is starting to get discouraged..the first 3 days we had him he didn't do any of this...now he is peeing in the house at least 3 times a day...twice as an accident I suspect and once intentional...
Can anyone offer any suggestions??We bought some "No Go"! spray and he hasn't peed in those spots again but just finds new ones...:-( My husband is starting to get annoyed...we had to work really hard to get him to agree to get a dog in the first place..
I have seen this doggie Apartment crate system advertised where it is a puppy training system but I am unsure whether it will work since we already have starting teaching him to go to the front door when he wants out and not peeing on a pad etc...He hasn't yet learned 100% that is where he needs to go..I take him out every 2 hours throughout the night also and he pees everytime...so I don't know if it will confuse him or what to all of a sudden crate him at night...he also sleeps with the kids on their bed...
He just peed on the kitchen floor as we speak and he was just out 20 minutes ago...I don't know what to think..Will this get better

??
Love my Pup but starting to think this was a bad idea

...Been 30 years since I have had a family pet....
