You can tim the hair around their eyes. It depends on what you want to do. Some people cut it (I call them windsheild wipers-cause they kinda look like them to me) and some people grow the hair by their eyes out so that they will lay flat and constant cutting isn't nessessary. I am in the process of growing Thor's out. It's taken for ever. I know he will be happy when he can see again!
As for the topknot, you should look at the site listed above. Again I just grab hair and tie it up. Thor isn't one for sitting around waiting for me to find the perfect hairs to tie up...but he is a boy
