I have an 8 week old yorkie puppy and I also own his mommy. The other two puppies from the litter have went to their new homes but I intend to keep this little guy. My question is I notice he still tries to nurse quite often and sometimes his mother will allow it and sometimes she won't. He eats his puppy food and drinks water very well so I don't feel that it is a hunger issue. I've never been in this situation where I've owned a mother dog and one of her pups so I just need to know the right way to go about breaking him from nursing. I believe her milk has dried up. It seems to just be a comfort thing. Any advice is appreciated!
