I can't believe he could get out of a collar, what type was it the plastic snap clip or the type with a metal buckle. Was his tag on his collar, if I was you I would not wait till you got one from your buddy, what if he got lost without his tags. I know not everyone keeps name tags on their yorkies but after having a few dogs in our family escape from the yard I don't let Lola go without her collar and name tags.
