Galen was like that when I first started taking him out. I even got him a Snoozer Lookout II. I drove down to my Mom's, over two hours, and he cried the whole way
. I just took him on little rides around the area. Now he is great. He gets in with so of his toys and just watches the world or curls up.
it will get better. Also try spraying a little lavender oil on a blanket. It helps calm them.
