The vet just called. Mindy's ammonia level is extremely high, her ALT is elevated and her Creatinine is low. She also is anemic. The owner had said she had some black stools which is a concern because she had her on prednisone. So....they need to figure out why she is not metabolizing the iron appropriately. Her marrow is functioning, so that is a good thing.
She said the creatinine could just be due to her not having enough muscle mass.
Poor baby...she is a mess...but I am hopeful that we can help her. I am going to keep thinking positive thoughts!
