LOL!! I did ask around about desert. The thing is that all the ingredtients are native to Tunis. I dont think that the traditional things are gonna do you any good. I'll give you an example. One of the deserts is called Zgoo Goo, its basically a cream and nut desert. But you have to have the Zgoo Goo, which is a small tear drop shaped type of nut. I think its a nut, there's no other way to describe it. If you can't get it, then you can't make Zgoo Goo. There are some other things. But they're pretty much the same. The only thing I can suggest is if you look for a French recipe book. Most of the things we eat here are French deserts. Tunisia used to be a French colony, and the old french deserts are still a HUGE favorite here. |
