I forgot to even address the psychological benefits of leaving the puppies with mom and siblings until they are 14 weeks old...emotional and psychological development is crutial for puppies and the lessons they learn from momma and siblings from/during weeks 7-14, are priceless and are instrumental in preventing behavioral problems later in life!!!! I appreciate how excited new owners are to get their new baby....but they also want a healthy, well socialized puppy....amd that is MY responsibility, so I do what I know is best for the baby!
