Why don't you just get a more expensive better made sling that your pup can grow into? I bought all of the "temporary" products thinking that I'd buy a better one when they were full grown. But they grow up so fast & the cheap stuff gets thrown in a closet. I feel like I wasted so much money on crappy stuff.
Unless you're using it while you're on your laptop or sitting down, a sling really needs a sturdy bottom for the pup to be comfortable. Otherwise, they get all squished & you end up holding the bottom of the sling/pup because you feel bad for them. I would also recommend one with a tether. You never know if your pup is going to see a squirrel or something & try to chase after it.
