Thx for that great info. I just realized my ruffler is MISSING the the top dark blade part with the teeth on the edges. No wonder it hasn't been grabbing the fabric this whole time. Wow, I've been fooled. I think I bought this singer ruffler from a yt member here, but can't be sure. Oh well, back to pulling thread to make a ruffler!!!!
