In our house we had a ton of pets, lizards, frogs, hamsters, dogs you name it. My aunt had a purebred Yorkie named Chumley that she had gotten and had started to learn the ins and outs of having a show dog, and I was always really interested. I went to shows with her and I would learn how to eventually groom the dog and what have you. My aunt had become part of a Yorkshire terrier rescue club as their treasurer and that was when my family got their first yorkie. We rescued a puppy named Melanie, she was the biggest sweetie. I miss her, she lived until she was 14 and we had to put her to sleep :,( That was last summer and one of the saddest days ever.

After she passed my parents had said no more dogs because losing her was so hard, but for Christmas my parents rescued my Sophie for me and brought her home about 8 months after Melanies passing. My aunt has had up to 5 yorkies at a time and my grandmother had her own little boy. We're just a family full of yorkie lovers!
