Is there any next step I have to take with her training to get her to start whining when she wants to pee/poop when outside of the cage? Or is it just something that happens on its own after months of praise when going outside and immediate trips into the back yard when she does it inside?

What I did with Joel was every time he barked I quickly took him outside even if it was 20 times a minute
But he caught on and learned how to tell me potty and it also got him not to bark for no reason.
So he potty trained fast AND doesn't bark, two birds with one stone
