We were out to dinner one night recently. The girls were dressed up, and Allie was in her stroller. As we walked past, a man sitting at the bar said something like "That's ridiculous! Look at that lady's dressed up guinea pig." My husband stopped, leaned down, picked up Allie, and cuddled her to his cheek. Then he looked the guy square in the eyes, smiled and said "You're right! That IS ridiculous. Allie doesn't belong to my WIFE. She's MY DOG!" The guy took one look at my huge construction worker husband. His eyes got as big as saucers, and he about fell off his bar stool. All of the guy's buddies were on the floor laughing and teasing their friend. We just walked past smiling. I assure you, there were no more guinea pig comments the rest of that night!
