When you go to GCVS they look at the whole dog. They then draw up a plan for testing and/or treatment. Yes, they do often add things to the list that may not be causing the issue BUT they have to put it out there just in case. Then, they can accurately give an estimate of the cost. It is the same thing at any specialty hospital...I have had the same thing done at A&M.
