Picked out a kibble w/no potatoes & Princess has been yeast free. She used to have brown gunky ears that I had to clean out every other day & she had a cytology done on the scrapings & it was confirmed to be yeast. She used to scratch her ears to the point where it would bleed. Now her ears are itchy free & no more brown gunk, we're both very happy.

Eating These Foods Can Cause Dog Yeast Infection
I don't think her treats are too sugary. I only really give them treats that are made by the same company that makes their dog food. Every now and then I'll give them cheese or a little tiny piece of a pizza but that is pretty much the extent of their people food. This is the first time we had this issue. The groomer told me that since her hair was so matted close to the skin, it made it hard for her skin to breathe so that is why the yeast infection occured. Geno has never had this issue so I can only really attribute it to the matted hair.

I am so happy to hear though that Princess is feeling a lot better!
