I don't think it has anything to do with motherhood my yorkie who was spayed before her first heat will walk around with something crying trying to figure out where to hide it normaly its a treat she does not enjoy. Growing up we had one dog a bigger dog who would take her things out the doggy door and actually bury them it was funny.
