[Bella*s Mommy]

I don't post often but am at a complete loss. My yorkie is going to be 7 in October, and is a little on the chunky side (13 lbs). On Saturday she attempted to jump onto the couch and missed, falling back. She instantly lifted her back leg up and didn't put any weight on it. I wasn't sure if she may have just sprained it because she didn't make any noise and I was able to push and touch it. Sunday morning it was no better, so I took her to the vet's office. She had x-rays done, which concluded that she has luxating patellas (grade 3) and they are recommending surgery. Now, like most of us on this site- our babies are our lives. My Bella is my world, and I will do anything in my power to get her better. Any advice will be helpful. I have been up researching since Sunday. The entire thing is making me sick, thinking she might be in pain and just not showing it. The vet gave her Rimadel (spelling?), and she has to be seen by the ortho surgeon on Friday. But she still is hopping on 3 legs, and can't put weight down. *ugh* So overwhelmed!
