Actually, Jasper was very quiet when he was puppy. Still is really. He will bark if he hears daddy coming in from work or when the contractors come and first get started on the house. But he usually quiets down after a couple of minutes.
Oh and he will whine during the night if he has to potty. I'm really fortunate. He's such a good boy.
