This makes me so sad and angry to read...In the UK from what research I have done NO shelter/rescue centre put a healthy dog to sleep, they even work spending time with dogs who have behavioural issues to try and resolve them. The only reason a dog will be put to sleep is if they are unwell or they are a dangerous vicious dogs
