I love the name Stella. Before Bella, we had another Rat Terrier named Stella. She was a rescue and the sweetest dog. Well DH was in the yard and Stella was off leash. And, you guessed it, she got hit. I was giving her CPR while we flew to the vets office. I felt her heart stop as we got there. They tried to revive her, but couldn't. Our hearts were broken.
Two weeks later there was a new fence covering 1/2 acre of our front yard. It won't happen again. It doesn't matter what breed or mix you have...always err on the side of caution and keep them leashed if not in a fenced in or safe area.
So to me, Stella is an AWESOME name!!
