My ddb is UKC registered (the breed isn't yet recognized by the AKC). AKC will not accept UKC registration. But you can register your male with the UKC as well, it really is no trouble at all to dual register your male with the UKC so the pups will be UKC registerable. If you don't register your male as UKC, you won't be able to register the pups, with the UKC. Nor with the AKC since AKC doesn't recognize UKC registration. I feel the UKC is as good as the AKC, personally
