I think having a total hysterectomy is a very wise decision. As a breast cancer survivor myself, I say get rid of anything you don't need. It's one less thing to worry about. I'll pray for a good checkup for you and that your surgery goes well. Are you going to have a traditional hysterectomy or a laparoscopic surgery. I'm going to be having a total hysterectomy in the near future also. I have a uterus full of fibroids which are causing me pain and seem to be growing even though they shouldn't be. I'm hoping that I will be a candidate for laparoscopic or robotic surgery. Healing time is so much quicker.
