My baby has Legg Calve Perthes and interestingly it does occur in humans as well. She is to have surgery on 8/9. It is a learning experience, I just wish it didn't have to happen to my dog. I just hope with the vets advice we can work through it and live our lives together as planned.
I already have the doggy physical therapy information and am getting familiar with the procedure.
Oh, I did not say it could not happen to anyone. Accidents do happen for sure.

Your baby will be fine! I have gone through that surgery with a few pups. Two of my personal pups have had FHOs. I have never had to do any physical therapy with any of them...they all did very well. They really are amazing!

Keep us posted on your pup!
