Having them installed by a professional is great, just make sure to check your windows frequently in the first few months for any signs of leaks, or water pooling in the tracks.

Yikes! Tempered glass throughout? Sounds expensive. I had to change a window above my Jacuzzi tub at my last house to a tempered glass window and it was pricey.

I cracked one of my kitchen windows with a stone thrown up by the weedwacker earlier this summer. I'm debating on switching it out with the window in the bathroom (same size, but there's two identical windows in the kitchen & now one is cracked), and just replacing the bathroom window.
