So I will say they are "rare" for me, hows that? Any better? I personally never heard of them. If the AKC is not recognizing them as a separate breed and there are maybe a handful of clubs in the United States, that tells me they are not that well known. I live in puppy mill central and still have never heard of them. To the YT members and Yorkie "people" I can understand. To the normal everyday Joe on the street, when I tell them what breed he is, they scratch their head. They started importing them from Germany around 2003 so they are not that old of a breed. Just like some everday Joe scratches his head when he sees a Saluki for the first time, for they are considered the oldest breed dating back to the 1800's from Egypt. You watch, now that I mentioned the Saluki, there will now be a debate on wether it is the oldest breed or not...Oh sheesh! SMH. To funny!
