I have the Andis with the stand, and I like the hands free operation and it's very quiet. Only down side is sometimes when I've been drying on high for a while and turn it off without putting it on cool first, it overheats and won't turn back on for three minutes. Even my little rehome didn't mind this one and his previous owner said he was terrified of hair dryers. Once they get use to the noise of this, I've found that I can use a human hair dryer that's really loud on the them. Also, you can use the stand with other dryers.
