Very interesting. My Shelby is an obsessive licker, I think. He licks himself all over and sometimes I'll see him licking his toys..not chewing, but licking. He licked a hot spot onto his leg back when I was away when my niece was in the hospital.

I've never thought of him having GI issues, though. I just thought it was sort of an OCD thing. Or really..I think it's a bored thing with him because he doesn't always do it. It's just when he starts...he goes on and on and on and I have to tell him to stop licking. Maybe he is a different scenario than these in the study.

Makes me curious, though.
