I think all mentioned are important. One of the most important command for us is to Sit. We've been walking them off lease around the house and it's been great. Hot Rod tends to head back home when he's done and Maggie May stills gets a little distracted when a neighbor comes out. When we say sit, that means for them to stop immediately and they sit until we go and pick them up.
the other thing that I do, not necessarily a command, but I guess sort of, is I will make the "ah, ah" sound and this gets their attention in that they know what they are doing is not what I want them doing. It gets their attention and they either go the other direction or stop what they are doing. |
