Try diluting the cleanser in the palm of your hand first, then apply it to your face, and remove it with water only, no rubbing. Then gently pat your face with a soft (or slightly damp) washcloth to dry. I cleanse my face in the shower most the time, then apply the moisturizer after I get out.
