It took our girls a couple of weeks to get totally used to ours...we started out by taping up the heavier flap and taping up a light towel,like a hand towel and showed them how to use it with that first with lots of praise and treats....once they have done that well for several days we put up a heavier towel and used that and just build up until they were 100% comfortable with the flap. Now they use it great with no problems, but it was a slow start...they were both scared of it!!!
