The breeder seems fairly "old school," so I doubt that any state-of-the-art genetic testing for diseases was done, but Bella has been healthy, frisky, and adorable .

I will say get her insured now with an Insurance Plan that covers genetic and congential defects.

I will be posting this message over and over again.

For those that do not know I was a CPA in a former life time. Cost analysis etc is my forte.

Look even good and even great breeders certainly can't protect against accident or injury. And many things we just don't have a genetic marker for.

If your dog gets run over by a car, or mauled by a dog, do you have $5000 to diagnose and do surgery with.

What happens if your dogs get cancer; at least $5K to treat with variable rates of success.

What happens if your dog has CT or how about LP that develops later in life and needs surgery? $3 K or so.

So do you guys have the funds over and over again?

To date I have spent $12K on Magics rehab ddx and drugs for his DLSS.

You guys prepared for a 12K bill?
