I really think the only thing is to be on top of the situation during that "free time" in the evenings.

I am not one to give advice because I thought I had all the answers before I got Mandie. I had never had a hard time potty training. Mandie still is not completely trained. She goes outside and on potty pads, but she poops by the door and I have caught her more than once peeing ON the carpet (hence the reason I am pulling that carpet up for now).

What I have learned from this is that it takes time. With all of my past dogs, I was there 24/7...I didn't work during the time they were first being potty trained. That is the difference. I've worked since I've gotten Mandie. It's not her fault..it's completely mine. I know that so I "get it".
