I posted about this with Draco a little while ago. He's super friendly and loves everybody and just gets super excited.
And it comes down to just giving an automatic precaution. Like if if someone comes to him I'll pick him up to be petted. Or if I see them looking like they want to pick him up (you'll learn this look) I tell them in my most polite voice "Oh, please don't pick him up." and tell them it's because I'm trying not spoil him.(he's super spoiled and i actually don'tcare) so far people respect that.

Draco did brake his paw when he was 3 months leaping from my sisters hands, but most people don't respond to this as well as they do when I tell them I don't want him spoiled. And I think if picking him to let other people pet him just kind of automatically let people know that this is as far as their getting with him.
