Without permission and if she does not know you well I would say inappropriate.
At my Vet all the Techs and Receptionist know me and Sophie Kate very well (that is where I board her) so i would not be bothered at all. But if that were not the case it would not be allowed.
Are we sure she is not taking Samson in the back to weight him - maybe just a thought.
