Have you ever seen her do it with anybody else? Maybe next time you could take him in inside of a travel crate? What does your baby think of this?
I would go by his reaction to her, if he seems happy for her to hold him I would probably allow it, but if he doesn't want her to take him or seems indifferent I would put an end to it. Maybe ask the vet why she does this-maybe your baby reminds her of one she had.
