Regarding that site's Yorkie breeder listings, I visited Gumwood Kennels more than once years and years ago and from what I now know, I am pretty sure it was a puppymill operation at that time. They used to run ads in the newspaper before the internet advertising almost every kind of toy breed and toy mix one could think of. There was no screening of potential buyers at all and certainly no health guarantee back then. I believe Ms. Welch is now deceased. But unless that operation has changed significantly, in my opinion one would be wise to avoid it when looking for a puppy.
