Their small size means that you have to have a vet that is well versed in anesthesia, but they absolutely can be spayed and have surgery, teeth cleanings etc. Because of that small size, spaying is something you absolutely want to have done unless you are an experienced breeder.

Call around to you vets in your area, or better yet try and contact a local YTCA member near you to see if they can recommend a vet who is experienced in Toy breeds.
